Ariel Schlesinger Tape joined together

Born in 1980 in Jerusalam, Ariel Schlesinger is an artist who works and lives in Berlin. Amongst some other really interesting installations is this tape piece to which I have a particular attraction to.

Two or three rolls of tape joined together as if they had just accidentally rolled into each other and merged in space.

These are some of his other pieces. They all seem to take everyday objects and are trapped in time somehow. Featuring tables, pieces of paper and everyday cigarette lighters, they make you think about these objects in an elevated sense.

Aside from everything else, I think the photography is pretty mellow.

The two lighters joining in one single frame.
