TAPE WRAPPED BAGS BY JACQUI MA

Today i'm gracing you with one of my very own tape creations. I was just sorting out my files on my computer on a cold sunday afternoon in london and came across these photos of some design experiments i did a couple of years ago when i was designing accessories for puma.


I had a lot of fun playing around with the tape wrapping around the outside of this vintage style bag.


The bold graphic look of the high contrast colour is cool, some of them look a bit union jackish but all in all, i think i like the effect of all the images together rather than them as separate designs.



The bags ended up looking a bit more like the photos below - but even then i don't think they ever even got made. So i remain the only one who actually owns these slightly strange bags which the folk at puma decided to use their better sense and reject.


Maybe its taking my tape festish a bit too far but i reckon someone out there would appreciate these!
